Day -3: Thursday 9/5/2019

Today...

I accompanied baby B to Hunter College High School, snapped a selfie, then walked toward Central Park. Around 92nd street, I caught the M4 bus, which I took to 86th street. The driver was suspiciously courteous, and explained to me that...
  • I'd be better off getting off his bus in a few stops to take the M1 or M2 limited - which are both express buses that would get me to chelsea a lot faster than he could
  • He wouldn't charge me
So at 86th street, I thanked him, got off, and ran to catch the M2 which had just stopped in front of us to pick and drop off. Took it to 22nd street, then walked to Chelsea Piers for a 10am meeting.

First weight workout in months

It's nice doing meetings from inside Chelsea Piers fitness center. They have amazing wifi, great coffee, and it's just a 75 foot walk to the changing areas from the business lounge. After my meeting, I packed up my laptop, headed into the locker room, and got dressed for a quick workout. After 5 minutes of light stretching, I did 3 circuits with 30 seconds of rest in between exercises, and 1.5 minutes in between circuits. I kept the weight low, and the effort level easy.
  1. Crunches (15 -30)
  2. Barbell Squats (115 x 8)
  3. Wide grip pullups (8 reps)
  4. Close grip flat bench press (115 x 8)
  5. Standing military press with barbell (60 - 75 x 8)
Followed by...
  1. Frenchies
  2. 50 yard walking kettlebell lunges (52lbs) 
  3. 50 yard forwards and backwards animal walks 

Tomorrow

I will try and shape up our kanban board with some help from the team.
