One of my weaknesses is my inability to resist the urge to make an educated guess. About anything at all. Ever since I saw Dustin Hoffman count up the toothpicks in the movie Rain Man, I think I was hooked. This morning was our first commute to the upper east side from Brooklyn during normal school-day traffic patterns, and so I predicted that we would arrive at Union Square station in Manhattan at 7:22 am. At 7:22:01, my right foot hit the first stair tread leading down into the station. From there, we took the 5 train to 86th street - a mere 3 stops - then walked .6 miles to the benches located at 94th and Park. Which is where I snapped this photo:
